Cost Considerations
What we charge and how we calculate it is going to depend on which of our services you require.
Yacht Delivery, Skipper for Hire, Charter Skipper, Crew for Hire - We first understand what you wish us to accomplish over what period of time and on what waters. We then develop a “Voyage Profile." We then apply costs to this profile. Voyages are always a variable mix of time, manpower, and travel related expenses. Some last no more than a day. Some occur over a period of weeks in both foreign and domestic waters. Some have taken more than a month as in trans canal. Regardless of the duration, you as the owner are responsible for all the expenses associated with the voyage. Our manpower fees vary from a flat daily fee for short deliveries ($350.00 per day for a skipper, $175.00 per day per crew) to a per logged nautical mile fee structure for longer deliveries ($3.50 for a skipper per nautical mile and $1.75 per crew member) We have been known to adjust there rates downward for voyages which are projected to last more than three weeks.
Instruction: $60.00 per hour in a classroom environment, $85.00 per hour underway + travel reimbursement. Underway instruction occurs on your vessel.
Consulting - $50.00 per hour plus travel reimbursement
Port Services - a mix of per mileage reimbursement and cost per hour/day.
