As with the services we offer - our fees are tailorable and consistent with the service package you require.

In the case of vessel delivery/skipper for hire/crew for hire - as a baseline/start point the following are payable either directly by you or as reimbursements to our movement team:

          a.  All expenses associated with the movement of your vessel: fuel, food, maintenance, port fees, etc..
          b.  Travel expenses incurred by our team in movement to your vessel and travel home to Seattle from your vessel.

Clearly manpower is the most significant variable when it comes to overall cost. Movement schedules dictating around the clock underway operations necessitate more crew not to mention greater wear and tear on the vessel. The larger the vessel the more manpower required to safely move her, etc.

Generally we favor the "per nautical mile fee" within less constrictive “pick-up” and “drop-off” times. This permits greater flexibility in terms of manpower and the ever present uncertainties of weather. Having to “push the weather envelope” is neither prudent nor safe, but sometimes must be done to meet your delivery schedule.

Given these considerations we can write a contract based on:

          a.  “Underway” engine hours. (If yours is a sailing vessel, we won’t go for this one.)
          b.  Flat fee for the specified passage.
          c.  A two tiered “per day” fee. The higher figure being for completion of a pre-defined number of “underway” hours in a given 24 hours period. The lower figure applying for days remaining in port due to mechanical failure or poor weather.
          d.  A per nautical mile fee.

In the case of instruction - costs to you are based on an hourly rate or a “block of hours rate” and travel expenses.
